Had to use my limited French vocabulary for some end! But seriously, this is a very fine edition of Couperin’s “Pieces de Clavecin” by Barenreiter, who again makes another excellent book. Unbeknownst to me I didn’t realize Couperin wrote “songs” albeit without words. But the individual pieces are...

perfect examples of French Baroque music. There is—finally—a clear table of ornamentation (unlike the Germans) which shows you with examples exactly how a trill is to be played versus a modent. Among other ornamentations. There is also a translated table of French terms and is extremely helpful. All in all a great book. Enjoy!
