  • January 30, 2012 Great edition

Great edition. For background, I have Rach 3 in International Music, and at times, you feel like you need a microfiche reader to see the copy in that edition. But B&H, on the other hand... this is a great edition for a working copy. Perhaps once you learn the...

piece to a certain level, a condensed version may serve you better (or just memorize it, as you'll have to do that someday). As you all know, the 2nd movement is just out of this world-- Rachmaninoff was such a genius.

  • December 24, 2009 Too many page turns

It is a big irritation to have to turn so many pages. It is a clear text, and useful when just reading slowly, but I move back to my other editions when the tempo gets back to normal. This is a new trend--6 measures on a page. . . .

I agree, it's very easy to read and it's probably the best edition out there nowadays. I highly recommend it!

  • June 27, 2001 A Splendid Work

This arrangement of one of our great classic staples is refreshing in the sense that it defies the constrictions of two-piano arrangements. The fluid accompaniment lies nicely beneath the fingers, and mimicks a live orchestra with a genuine subtlety.
