The PIANO plays the melody for the second verse and then concludes with the CELLO on the melody for the final chorus. The audio sample begins in measure 5 after the piano introduction.
The range for the solo instrument is the first C# below middle C to the first D above (C#3 to D4). For cello players, all notes are playable in the first position with the exception of C#3 which can be played in second or third position or as an extension of the fourth finger on the G string.
