Instrumentation is 5 saxes (clarinet doubles), 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, piano, bass, and drums. For purposes of accuracy, the manuscripts were cross-checked carefully with the original Columbia Recordings, Duke Ellington Three Suites (Columbia CK 46825). Solos from the Ellington recording are transcribed. The music was edited by Walter van de Leur and Jeff Lindberg.
