  • January 24, 2004 One of a kind - moving drone

Not very easy listened, but it is music with a very characteristic sound and rather clear structure. The double drone in the pedals creats a very special feeling. The drones last the whole piece. They move slightly now and then, but always chromatically. Sometimes parallell, sometimes in contrary motion. Big...

chords, that fit(?) with the drone, at numerous occasions help the listener to feel a structure of the piece. The piece asks for more manual technique than pedals technique (because of the ever present drones). So this is a piece for you who is a very good piano player, but perhaps not quite as good organ player. Fascinating piece - one of a kind!
