Carl Burchard, the arranger, was born in 1820. He published numerous arrangements of symphonies, overtures, choruses etc. for piano, piano duet, and 2 piano duets. With W. Popp he published this overture, together with 45 others, for piano duet, violin, and a cello as well as symphonies and serenades.
