Outside the Box - 9 Silly Piano Solos to Make You Think!

I created these pieces in an attempt to make my students think and not just do things by rote. They are at an early intermediate level, though parts of a few of them could even be done by beginners. The pieces include one played with only 2 fingers, one with fists, one in a different key in each hand, one with more rests than notes, one that uses the very top and bottom of the keyboard, one for LH alone, one for RH alone, one that changes time signatures (4/4, 3/4, 2/4), and a final one that has measures to play both forward and backward.None of the pieces are difficult, but they require thinking beyond normal intermediate level pieces, and I've found that students love playing pieces that are very different from what's in their lesson book.
