In the baroque era, it was common practice to arrange instrumental concertos for the organ.
Johann Sebastian Bach's arrangements of Vivaldi's concertos are a familiar and typical example. This collection of six selected arrangements by Johann Gottfried Walther is a response to the demand for festive organ concertos.

I bought this book several months ago. A great amount of time was spent studying these concertos before I was ready to write a review. This music is good! They're arrangements, like Bach, but on a different scale. The printing is clear and easy to read, on ivory paper...

. Suggestions for fingering are not supplied, but registration requirements are printed. I found them helpful even though my organ doesn't necessarily have the same registers. I would recommend this book to anyone who, from time to time, is looking to play a bit of festive music on their organ.
