Piano Solo - Advanced Intermediate - Digital Download
Composed by Bo Young Kwon. Contemporary Classical, Anniversary, Wedding. 6 pages. Published by Bo Young Kwon (S0.729971).

Item Number: S0.729971

This is the 2nd composition of 'Ocean' series by Bo Young Kwon.
Ocean of Love is an emotional piano solo composition that explores the journey of being in Love.
It begins with tender 'Love' melody followed by the passionate 2nd subject. It is contrasted with a middle section that suggests uncertainty but is confirmed back with the return of the Love melody with a little variation. It ends with a dramatic, virtuosic section that is sure to leave a mark on the performer and the listener.

The composer's video of herself playing the song on youtube was very impressive and the song is beautiful. After purchasing the sheet music and trying it at home, I was happy to find that it was easier to play than expected (I am an advanced player). I was able...

to sight read it slowly (whereas I can't sight read Chopin's Nocturne No. 9, if that helps.) The left hand is mainly broken chord notes, and the right hand is either arpeggiated chords or repetitive scales. So, it's easier to play than it sounds, and it sounds toweringly impressive and beautiful. Win-win.
