Rarely is a piece both exquisitely beautiful and easily executed. The small sections where the soprano and basses split can be easily given to a single singer in small choirs. The accompaniment is not difficult and could be handled by a mature student.

Beautifully written-- so accessible to both young and more matured voices. Lots of opportunities to teach phrasing.

What a supremely beautiful setting of one of my favourite hymns. A perfect alliance of words and music - it keeps going round in my head. Great control needed to do it justice but well worth the effort.
