There is confusion as to who is the exact composer of this melody. Perhapsit was an anonymous Cistercian Monk, or King John IV of Portugal (1604-1656),or John Reading (1645-1692) or John Francis Wade (1711-1786). The firstpublished version of it was in 1751 by John Francis Wade, a Scottish scholar ofplainchant so he is often given credit as its composer.
This trio can be performed as is or with the matching Duet version. In HarpI both hands play the melody. Harp II has melody and some accompaniment. HarpIII has accompaniment and the most notes.
You will receive the Score, Harp I, Harp II andHarp III.
