Good sheet music. OK fingering. Book doesn't stay open very easily at all. My biggest problem was definitely the exclusion of nocturnes 20 and 21. It's not exactly 'complete works' if it's missing 2 of Chopin's posthumous nocturnes.

This is a cheaply printed edition. I only bought it as a "fact checking" edition. I have the Henle, which I prefer (pages are much better and it easily stays open, no matter what page I am on). That said, the Henle edition does contain some note errors. I listened...

to 5 pros play one of these Nocturnes and there were discrepancies. The Paderewski edition is said to be the same or closest to the composer's original manuscript.

This is my favorite collection of Chopin's Nocturnes. The only small issue that I had was the exclusion of two of his posthumously published works (which also happen to be a couple of my favorites). Five stars.

Here's why I am only giving this book 1 star: Although the quality of the printed music is WONDERFUL and the fingerings are great, I was forced to go and get it spiral bound because the book was IMPOSSIBLE to keep open. Usually if I "fold" the pages with...

all my strength, they will cooperate. But not with this book... :-( If you are willing to tailor your book, then by all means purchase this wonderful edition.
