The Nocturnes, Op. 9 are a set of three nocturnes written by FrédéricChopin between 1830 and 1832, published that year, and dedicatedto Madame Camille Pleyel. The second nocturne of the work is regarded as Chopin'smost famous piece. He composed his best-known Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, No. 2when he was around twenty years old. Chopinwrote almost exclusively for the piano. One can only speculate what he wouldhave written for the saxophone, had he lived long enough to hear the instrumentplayed at a higher level of performance than what he may have heard in Paristowards the end of his lifetime, when the saxophone was still in its infancy. Helikely would have been honoured and perhaps amused by the present arrangementfor SATB saxophone quartet of his famous piece. This arrangement features the soprano saxophone, with the other three voices providing the accompaniment. Duration 3:57 contact me at
