    One of my favorite pieces, had to have it when I picked up my horn after a long hiatus. This version is very expensive, wish I had shopped more or just gotten a voice version and transcribed myself. Not sure why it’s written in this key – perhaps because it...

    was easier to arrange for instruments? It’s written in F (C for the F horn) while all the vocal versions seem to be written in G (D for the F horn). Transcribing to G makes the range much more suitable to me and also make the transitions from the F horn to the B flat horn happen more logically. In lieu of transcribing, I’ll just play the E flat horn version (which was included) and if I ever play with accompaniment, just get the piano accompaniment for voice.
