"MyJesus, I Love Thee" is a 40 measure arrangement for 4-5 octave handbell choir. It also uses handchimes G4 through D6, but the handchime parts can be played by handbells, if desired. After a brief introduction by the bells, chimes alternate with the bells in the first verse, but bells will work in place of the chimes, if chimes aren't available. The second verse is all bells. There is a “surprise” *double*-repeat (with accompanying key changes) of the last chorus’s “If ever I loved Thee…” phrase, before the final phrase (“My Jesus ‘Tis Now.") That last phrase is half-timed. Melody doubling into the higher bells is used toward the end. There is one brief descant line. No special techniques are used in order to keep it simpler for a handbell choir of modest capabilities.
