  • May 14, 2010 Woo-hoo!

After 3 years of not playing, I can still hit this one, so at least my fingers haven't forgotten what to do! Love to play the Imperial March because it has that deep, dark evil feel to it, and of course the Main Theme because of the brilliant fanfare...

at the beginning. Glad to have bought it (albeit thru another site).

  • March 25, 2009 Great Collection

My son just started playing 6 months ago and even though this material is beyond his ability he is trying to teach himself because they are songs he knows and likes. Great motivator.

  • March 12, 2009 My son likes it!

My son started trumpet in a band 7 months ago and find this music a challenge, but not impossible. He enjoys it and it sounds good!

  • March 01, 2009 Awesome book for fans of the Trilogy soundtrack!

This book is fairly easy, but many beginners may have trouble with some higher notes. The good thing is you know how these songs go, so it's easy to learn as you go. Some songs have notes lower on the scale than the actual score, and others need certain...

notes raised an octave to keep the same feel of the originals (Namely Yoda's Theme and parts of Force Theme when it appears). One really fun part is that since many of these melodies are not originally trumpet parts in the movie score, you can use mutes to try and capture the original mood. Try a straight mute for Yoda's Theme, a cup mute for The Parade of the Ewoks, for Cantina Band (the funnest song in the book) use a Harmon with or without the stem, a cup mute, or even a plunger or hat and simply play Star Wars Theme,The Throne Room and The Imperial March wide open.

  • October 18, 2008 Pretty good stuff

It was pretty good. Most of the popular themes from the original trilogy are present. For me, it was a little too easy.
