In the category of widespread attention and recognition during the first half of the nineteenth century, the composer Louis Spohr was second, only to the master, Ludwig Van Beethoven. Spohr's music was recognized as the complete opposite of the type of music Beethoven composed. Since Spohr withdrew his tenth symphony, it is found on this release as it's world premiere.
