Both the lyrics and the music from this show are hilarious. The musical references to composers and artists make it fun to play and listen to, and the silliness is pure Python. Non-Python fans won't get all of it, though anyone should appreciate the directions (such as "Find...

Your Grail", to be played as an "inspirational pop ballad", and the hummability of it all.

I am a Monty Python fanatic and just recently saw Spamalot in Toronto for the first time. I was blown away by the show and had tears running down my face from laughing so hard. The vocal selections book is a great representation of the musical, including classic Python tunes...

"Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" and "Knights Of The Round Table." The right hand in the music contains the melody for the most part, so you can play the songs as piano solos as well as accompaniment and they're not that hard. Highly recommended for any Monty Python/Vocal selection book fans! And for those of you who speak badly of this book, "I fart in your general direction!"

A must see show calls for a must see sheet music book. The songs are great and funny and an above-the-average, fun family sing along. But, if you haven't seen the show I don't recommend. You won't get any of the jokes.
