Latin.

Composed between 1440 and 1460, this is one of the earliest cantus-firmus masses (meaning that it employs a tune that runs through the entire work, from movement to movement; usually in the same voice, but at times moving from one voice to another throughout the work). In this Mass, the Cantus-Firmus comes from the Sarum (Antiphonale Sarisburiens) with the text Venit ad Petrum. The melody is repeated twice in each of the movements of the Mass; first in triple, then in duple time, always in the Tenor Part.
