SKU: A0.581709

Composed by Vincent d'Indy. Arranged by John Gibson. Romantic Period. 15 pages. JB Linear #12819. Published by JB Linear (A0.581709).

Vincent d'Indy originally wrote his Suite in Ancient Style (1889) for flutes, trumpet, and strings. His woodwind writing was very strong, so making the change to an arrangement for clarinet trio works well. This setting includes the Minuet from the Suite. It became popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's for composers to use the musical forms and gestures of earlier times and incorporate their own style into the work. d'Indy's music is all French, for certain. This would be a light, happy piece to play with your clarinet trio. Includes score and parts (3 clarinets).
