These audio CDs are designed to teach the solo parts to the Messiah. Each of these CDs comes with a booklet containing the text of the work. Each line of text has a word for word translation written above, along with an IPA pronunciation guide. In addition, there are 3 different parts to the audio: 1) The Spoken Text: the entire text is spoken slowly and clearly. 2) The Study Version: the melody line is played slowly on a concert grand, with some simple accompaniment and cues. 3) The Accompaniment: the standard accompaniment is played deliberately by an experienced accompanist, recreating the usual practice situations, with cues and other parts as needed.
