A nice selection of traditional Chinese folk tunes. Even those with minimal familiarity with China will recognize several of the songs. My quibble with the book is that the sheet music doesn't come close to matching the flute/piano rendition of the songs on the enclosed CD. So if...

you were hoping to listen to the CD while reading the music to learn better exactly how the song is played, you're out of luck.

Wonderful music for unaccompanied playing on recorder, baroque flute or chromatic harmonica.

A great and fun selection of pieces. Very unique and great for any player looking to branch out into something new. I have been playing for nearly eight years now, and love the challenge this book provides. It keeps players refreshed and can improve technique.

This is an excellent collection of folks songs, very nicely arranged. The accompanying CD is both instructive, and beautiful to listen to in it's own right. My only negative comment is that, while the CD has a charming piano part accompanying the flute, no written piano part was included...
