Scritta nel 1976 da Marco Luberti e Riccardo Cocciante, è diventata un evergreen internazionale grazie anche alle versioni in francese e spagnolo.
Questo sofisticato arrangiamento rappresenta una grande novità nel repertorio del chitarrista classico.
Presenta una scrittura che si sviluppa per accumulazione: ad ogni strofa si aggiunge qualcosa all’accompagnamento, che lo rende, via via, sempre più fitto. La percussione, da battuta 49 a 69 (eseguita dal pollice della mano destra sulle corde quinta e sesta, ne scandisce il ritmo di ballad), metterà a dura prova il chitarrista, il quale si troverà a dover sostenere, coerentemente, ritmo, accompagnamento, armonia e linea melodica.
Infine, le complicate diteggiature della mano sinistra, volte a generare risonanze quasi pianistiche e sonorità flamenche, fanno di esso uno dei miei migliori arrangiamenti.
Margherita è uno dei 16 brani presenti nell’album Mi Guitarra y Mis Amores del 2016.

Margherita is one of the most famous Italian songs.
Written in 1976 by Marco Luberti and Riccardo Cocciante, it has become an international evergreen thanks also to the French and Spanish versions.
This sophisticated arrangement represents a great novelty in the classical guitarist's repertoire.
It presents a writing that develops by accumulation: something is added to the accompaniment to each verse, which gradually makes it denser. The percussion, from bars 49 to 69 (performed by the thumb of the right hand on the fifth and sixth strings, marks the rhythm of the ballad), will put a strain on the guitarist, who will find himself having to consistently sustain rhythm, accompaniment, harmony and melodic line.
Finally, the complicated fingerings of the left hand, aimed at generating almost piano resonances and flamenco sounds, make it one of my best arrangements.
Margherita is one of the 16 songs featured on the 2016 album Mi Guitarra y Mis Amores.
