This production is part of Arthaus Musik's Elegance Series, which is a collection of ballet performances from the world's best dance houses featuring the greatest choreographers and celebrating the legacy of legendary choreographer Marius Petipa. The six ballets on this release come from Dutch master of dance and founder of Nederlands Dans Theater, Hans van Manen. Hans van Manen (b. 1932) founded the Nederlands Dans Theater in 1960 and was art director for the next decade. His work includes over 90 choreographies. The ballets included on this release are DejÃ vu, Solo, Kammerballett, The Old Man and Me, Frank Bridge Variations, and Two Pieces for Het.
