    This collection of folks songs transcribed for solo piano was an instant hit in my studio. Students unanimously chose: "Trek TekTek", Milk Coffee" and "At Dawn". The pieces on the first several pages are more accessible for early-intermediate pianists and as the pieces progress through the book, rhythms and...

    technical requirements get increasingly challenging. Particularly sublime are: "Suriram" and "Longing". Several of the pieces have a catchy, almost calypso style rhythm ("Mak Inang", "Milk Coffee"...) which is entertaining and fun! Highly recommended for teachers who want to bring a splash of the islands to their studio!
