This is a humorous piece with a 'jokey' feel, and the odd interjection of a scalic passage.  It depicts someone playing something they like instead of doing scales, which they then do as a token gesture. The 'scales' can be played slightly slower, indicating the need to practise. This piece is aimed at advanced intermediates. .
