William Hawley's "Lux Aeterna" was commissioned by the Seattle Choral Company, Fred Coleman, Director, and received its World Premiere performance in St. Mark's Cathedral, Seattle on October 18, 1996. The work sets the Latin text of the Communion from the Mass for the Dead for SSSSAAAATTTTBBBB voices, unaccompanied. The audio clip contains the complete live recording of the World Premiere. Performance duration: 8 1/2 minutes. ASCAP
