Hodie Christus Natus Est (This Day Christ Is Born), is usually associated with the Christmas season, It is the beloved Renaissance choral work of Jan Pieters Sweelink (1562-1621). Originally for SSATB, this has been transcribe for the Low Brass Choir. The first and second trombones are required to perform in the upper register to high Bb so this is performable by an advance high school ensemble.
