Derek Hasted writes "This easy arrangement of Elvis Presley's relaxed and charming "Love Me Tender" (set to the music of Aura Lee) is perfect for novice players, and also generates a lovely sound, mixing the sustain of the flute with an almost rag-time fingerpicking guitar accompaniment.
The use of a "swinging thumb" in the guitar part makes it easy to bring out a slowly ascending and descending chromatic middle voice, adding yet more interest to this well-known tune.
The guitar music has chord symbols and chord names as well as conventional notation.
