By Kantorow and Tapiola Sinfonietta. By Franz Liszt (1811-1886). Classical. 1 hybrid super audio listening CD. Published by BIS Records (NX.BIS-2100).

Item Number: NX.BIS-2100

Franz Liszt's two standard repertoire, virtuoso piano concertos, the four-movement, more bravura First and the very intriguingly composed, sectional, single-movement Second, frame the single-movement Malediction for piano and strings which Liszt composed in 1833, revised in 1840, but never published in his lifetime. Stepping into Liszt's shoes for the present recording, his first with BIS as well as being his debut concerto disc is the young, promising pianist Alexandre Kantorow (b. 1997), supported by his father Jean-Jacques Kantorow conducting the Tapiola Sinfonietta.
