This version keeps the flavour of the original piano and string arrangement without becoming too muddy. First trumpet goes up to top C (Bb instrument) and tuba down to a low concert A. The occasional short semiquaver passages lie well for the instruments and the arrangement benefits from clear articulation - particularly at the opening where the harmonic changes work well if slightly accented.
