Piano Duet (two players at one piano) - based on traditional dance forms, the collection includes a joyous waltz in the style of Ravel, a rhythmic Branle (a 16th Century French dance form), a tender lullaby, and a fast-paced Ritornelle. The centerpiece of the work is a haunting love song. The first performance was given in March 1996 by the San Diego Ballet.
