The songs are marvelous! However, the score seems to have been arranged just for playing with someone singing. If you want to play the songs only on the piano, it will sound very empty and weak in many of them.

I thought the piano music was too simplified. Bass was mostly broken chords. Not as musical as I would have liked.

I have been playing piano for years, and I am thrilled with this album. The arrangements are excellent. They are not too difficult, but by no means simplistic either. If you like the songs in Les Miserables you will enjoy owning this album.
