Leonard Bernstein, as a composer was known for his "eccentric" and "theatrical" sound blending elements of Classical, Blues, Theaterical Music, and other genres creating a sound a bit beyond his time. This collection of some of his only known piano solos best illustrates his tonal/chord prefernces and his intriguing...

interest in more atonal harmonies. I rate this as an advanced collection since many of his pieces utlizes MANY accidentals which will call for some skilled piano playing at hand. A great workout in chromactism, mixed and/or irregular time signatures, and other means of technacality.
