I have had an OLD copy of this entitled "Left Hand Studies" for ages. When I looked for a second copy I was pleased to find it revamped with a new cover, but basically the same. There are more interesting LH pieces on the market for younger pupils, but these...

tunes appeal to adult pupils. Their great asset to me as a teacher is for pedaling exercises.

  • April 12, 2007 Left-hand sight reading improves!

My adult group piano students really enjoyed this book. It improves sight-reading in both the treble and bass clef for the left hand. It's a technigue book hidden behind very musical and enjoyable tunes to learn. The students also benefited by working with the accurately marked pedal.
