By Earlene Rentz

3-part mixed choir (2-part)
Composed by Earlene Rentz. Choral. Octavo. Heritage Music Press #15/1727H. Published by Heritage Music Press (LO.15-1727H).

Item Number: LO.15-1727H

Written to honor the memory of the innocent victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, this powerfully emotional work begins with the traditional Latin Kyrie Eleison, o a plea for God's mercy for our nation. Culminating in a plea for individual and world peace, the composer has sensitively set Dona Nobis Pacem to lead us to the ending of quiet splendor.

I've sung this with a 7th grade choir. It is a stunning piece. The parts intertwine to create a captivating performance. Getting the parts together can be difficult. You definitely need a group who listens well to each other and has a good sense of timing.
