    These sonatinas are quite perky - a nice pick-me-up for the dark grey days of Canadian winters. And great for warming up cold fingers after shovelling snow. Nothing too deep, dark or ominous in their character. This particular publisher's paper and cover are very sturdy - can tolerate a...

    lot of pencil marks, erasings, hasty page flippings, and even book dropping right off the piano and onto the floor. Well worth your money!

    This book is not "intermediate," it is more on the early advanced level. Anyway, it's a bunch of sonatinas; most of them are in the fast style, with frequent usage of sixteenth notes, etc. So, if you are looking for something new and lively to try, pick Kuhlau. Oh...

    , it's easy to pick up Kuhlau's style, as many of these sound alike.
