The reason why the harmony looks suspicious and many seemingly wrong notes is due to note extensions in jazz harmony such as 9, b9, b13 etc. The Eb note over a Db note in bar 9 and 13 is a 9th of that Db bass note and I was trying...

to achieve a Dbmajor 9 chord. The Fb in bar 2 on LH chord is changes the a normal Eb chord to a Eb7b9 chord. These may seem 'wrong' to someone untrained in jazz theory.

  • August 24, 2018 Several errors in thus

I am dissatisfied with this as there are several definite errors, and some other potential issues. Bar 2 LH 2nd part of the bar should be a Gflat NOT Fflat. Bar 7 RH chord around 2nd half of the bar should be Enatural. Bars 9 and 13, RH chord should...

have an F (not Eflat). Also the harmony beginning of bar 4 is suspect - should there be a Bflat in that chord? And Bar 16 last beat in LH - should that be a Bflat? I think not!
