as I was looking on the inside it says "CAPO ON THE 5TH FRET". When you put the CAPO on the 5th fret of the guitar the bottom four strings are tuned to the ukulele.

  • March 31, 2009 It's tailored for guitar but for uke als

Unfortunately, some people don't know that the uke standard tuning is the same as the guitar with a capo on the 5th fret and playing the top 4 strings. The confusing part is that the names of the chords are written as if they were played on the guitar...

without the capo, which is common in guitar tabs, but makes it confusing for the uke player who may not know this and think that the chords were wrong. The actual chord should have been indicated. I.E.: Playing a "G" chord on the uke would be same as playing a "D" chord on the guitar without capo. The book indicates "D" for this chord although the actual chord is "G" because of the capo on the 5th fret. Uke players would have to ook at the fingering to play and maybe transpose the chord above.

I agree with the other reviewer. I can't tell if the tablature that says it's for ukulele is for ukulele or not! The tab is written on 6 lines, though 4 are used and it says ukulele tab. So, confusing to say the least. I gave my copy...

    to a guitar playing friend.
