Item Number: S0.67707

2015 Holiday ContestThis arrangement for solo voice and piano uses the original melody and text with a very serene, but powerful piano accompaniment. Descending broken 5ths in the beginning illustrate the falling snow, while sonorous harmonies tell the endless cold of winter. The second verse quotes from “Angels We Have Heard on High” and G.F. Handel's Judas Maccabeus. This is a wonderful song for vocalists around the holidays; it's sure to be a favorite.
