Gradualia is a collection of works for a variety of forces - solo voice with accompaniment, chorus to large ensemble - setting the English proper antiphon texts of the Catholic Mass. Using a simplified harmonic language and the traditional alternation of Antiphon - Psalm verse form, the works from the series ennoble a liturgical service and are accessible to professional and semi-professional ensembles and soloists.
Liturgically, I Am With You Always is the Communion Antiphon for the Feast of the Ascension and is appropriate at various other times during the liturgical year as well. Text from Matthew 28 and Psalm 68.
