, a high school freshman at the time, decide to give it a try. i love it. im playing Part I: allegro this year for my solo (im a sophomore as of now). This should be standard repertoire for all horn players.

I like this piece because it's catchy, modern, and just a brilliant work. I play mostly classical repertoire, and this is a nice, smooth change over from strict classical music, and is fun to play.

This is one of the greatest solos written for horn. It's a great piece to develop both stacato and legato technique, tonal quality, muted horn playing, and range. I recomend this to all intermediate and advanced horn players.

I am taking horn lessons and my teacher gave me this piece and it is the best horn solo i have ever played.
