Flute - Early Intermediate
Composed by Rebecca Maughan Cook. Method, Etudes and Exercises, General Instructional, Technique Training, Children's Music. Individual Part. 6 pages. Published by Rebecca Maughan Cook (S0.210335).

Item Number: S0.210335

This series of musical exercises for the early flutist is designed for my flute students and people just like them - YOU!

Three Blind Mice includes A. Melody, B. Arpeggios with Articulation, C. Trills (with a few hints on trill fingering), D.  Octaves (my favorite!), E. Whistle Tones and F. de la Sonorite.

Both Whistle Tones and Sonorite are standard exercises for good tone development but many younger players have never been introduced to them.  I whimsically subtitled the Whistle Tones as 'the mice are hiding' and de la Sonorite as 'the cat is meowing.'

#2 Three Blind Mice is especially good for the younger flutist who knows they should practice technique but has a hard time putting enough time into it.

Enjoy!

This makes spending time to do whistle tones and sonorite and octaves more fun.
