Hope of Israel is for a SATB choir with a descant and organ accompaniment. The first verse can be use as a tenor solo if desired. At the beginning of the second verse, the basses and the tenors have a call and answer, then join together. Then in the third verse, the sopranos come in and then the altos come in. Then the descant comes in at the chorus. In the last verse, everyone comes in sing parts and in the chorus, the soprano part splits. At the end when everyone is holding the lats note, the descant concludes the piece with a last "Hope of Israel.".
