  • July 28, 2008 Great book of greats

I have enjoyed this book so much. I have played the piano for a long time now, mostly working on a few selected pieces for a long time. This book has been great for just sitting down and enjoying the beauty of music. Some of the pieces are quite difficult...

and I will have to work them out, but there is a nice selection of very playable pieces.

  • February 21, 2008 Not good for learning

Many beautiful pieces, but no fingering numbers, so for someone trying to learn, it might not be the best.

  • July 16, 2007 Good grouping of pieces but too much Greig

These are wonderful pieces each piano student should know or at least tackle. Too much Greig though. Great for performing these melodies at the piano for general music teachers.A little bit of Peer Gynt goes a long way.

  • June 08, 2006 Very nice

I own this book, and feel that it is a really good grouping of pieces. The arrangements are nice. It is a great reference for more advanced students. The only problems I've encountered are the lack of fingering, which would be helpful especially on the more difficult pieces, and...

the way it is bound makes it hard to keep open. Otherwise I highly recommend it.
