Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Lisa Ochoco. Baroque. 12 pages. Lisa L Ochoco #3398777. Published by Lisa L Ochoco (A0.559573).

This fugue is the 6th fugue in Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier Book 1, which was written for the piano, and consists of 2 sets of 24 Preludes and Fugues.

The original piece was written in the key of D minor for 3 voices. Transposing it to A minor puts it in a better range for the flute. Since the lower voice isn't difficult, the alto and bass are doubling throughout most of the piece. This helps the lower voice be heard if this piece is played with one on each part. That said, this piece can be played as a trio, with either the alto or bass part missing.

This arrangement is written for 2 C flutes, alto, and bass.
