Beginning strings String Orchestra - Grade 1.5
Score Only. Composed by Carrie Lane Gruselle. Beginning Strings. FJH Beginning Strings. Frog and Toad is a study in contrasts. The frog theme is lighthearted, quick, and in a major key, while the toad theme is plodding and in a minor key. Students will also study contrasting dynamics and articulations, and will practice changing from arco. Score. Duration 1:40. The FJH Music Company Inc #ST6151S. Published by The FJH Music Company Inc (FJ.ST6151S).

Item Number: FJ.ST6151S

Inspired by the poem of 19th century English poet Christina Rossetti (also the author of "In the Bleak Midwinter"), Frog and Toad provides a wonderful change of pace. The frog theme is lighthearted in a major key, while the toad theme is plodding and in a minor key (though there are no formal key changes in the music). This fun piece is full of contrasting dynamics, articulations, and styles. Clever!
