This is a fine edition of these works. Two of the four sonatas have an obbligato accompaniment and the other two an appropriately-realized figured basso continuo line.

I loved listening to my CD of this music and decided I'd love to play it. When I saw the first page, I realized I'd taken on a project far more advanced than my abilities. I haven't played for years and didn't think I would have...

any trouble picking up my flute and playing as I had before. I have accepted the challenge to learn and play these pieces well. Trying to play along with the CD has been a great help! #1030 here I come!

  • February 12, 2007 The best edition of these to own!

After playing and realizing (I'm a pianist) off of the Henle, [...], Kalmus, International editions, and then playing this one, this is by far the best. Having the separate cello / basso continuo line is also a plus. Engraving is clear and the page-turns for the keyboardist are convenient.
