The poet came to the composer with a request to set her words and melodies in song form, the end result being a varied collection of styles, ranges, vocal difficulty, and instrumental accompaniment. "Forevermore" is here set for multiple voices and organ. The choral writing is a simple canon over an ostinato accompaniment. The piece may be sung in a variety of ways. The performer may cut and edit to fit the voices and voice parts available. With the alternate text it would make a fitting ending to worship. The piece is also available for the same voices but with string accompaniment.
