2015 Piano ContestThe Flatirons are three large rock formations close to each other on the west side of Boulder. They stand sentinel over the town, and are an integral part of its identity. They have long been favored by hikers and climbers. This piano rag honors those. There are three different sections in this rag - the 3rd part repeats with double-time in the left hand. It's a typical rag with a lot of syncopations and an upbeat feel. BMI www.patholmberg.com patholmberg@yahoo.com 2016 Steinway Contest Winner.
